Sue Moseley - Chair

Sue has over 30 years experience in the field of marketing and television research, giving her a deep understanding of how viewers respond to sport and the role it plays in the marketing mix.

Sue has been instrumental in developing a number of leading-edge planning tools which break new ground in evaluating the impact of the full communication mix. Many of these are used by futures sport + entertainment.

Sue is also the Worldwide Head of Research and Futures for Initiative and the Interpublic media group Mediabrands.

Prior to Initiative, Sue was Marketing and Research Manager for Central TV where she launched AdLab - the UK’s first full scale single-source research panel, measuring both multi-media consumption and product purchasing. Sue was a founder member of the UK’s first TV sales house, TSMS, where she was board director responsible for strategy and planning. Whilst at TSMS Sue acted as advisor to the board of United News & Media on their acquisition policies and provided consultancy on the future of TV and the impact of new technology. She has also run her own consultancy, working with a number of clients, including Spectrum Strategy Consultants.

Kevin Alavy - Director

With a First Class Honours degree in Economics from Warwick University, Kevin has specialised in the media business of sport for his entire career. He applies his mathematical skills in finding new ways to quantify the value of sport.

Kevin has overall responsibility for the research produced by futures sport + entertainment. His passion is researching how events on the sports field influence fans' attitudes and behaviour, and vice versa. With a huge appetite for numbers, he believes that the industry is at the beginning of a long journey in understanding how data can explain the world of sport.

Kevin is widely quoted in the business and sport press, including titles such as the Financial Times, International Herald Tribune and the New York Times. He also appears frequently on TV and radio, commenting on the business of sport.

Kevin has also been a Visiting Lecturer on the MBA programme at Imperial College, London.

Kevin Alavy

Alison Gaskell - Head of Analytics

Alison manages the myriad of clients’ data that is generated in the digital era. She has a First Class degree in Economics from Warwick University and a Master’s degree in Mathematical Economics and Econometrics from the London School of Economics. By combining mathematical expertise with technical computer programming knowledge, her work enables federations and sponsors to understand the value of their investments with maximum precision.

As an ardent fan of tennis and rugby, Alison has responsibility for the research conducted by futures sport + entertainment into these sports.

Alison Gaskell

Steven Adamson - Manager

Steven graduated from Warwick University with a degree in Maths and Economics. Whilst there, he demonstrated an ability to apply mathematical talent to an area he felt passionate about, sport. For his dissertation, Steven produced an empirical analysis on competitive balance in soccer, for which he was awarded a First.

During his time at futures sport + entertainment, Steven has continued to apply his analytical skills to the sports industry. He has focused on developing econometric models to identify the main drivers of sports viewing. Steven is an avid spectator and participator in many sports. He is proud to say he is one of the "real soccer" fans, supporting Stockport County.

Steven Adamson

Christos Tsiotras - IT Analyst

Christos was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. He graduated from the Technological Educational Institute of Crete with a degree in Applied Informatics and Multimedia. To further enhance his studies on Computer Science he acquired a Master's degree from the University of Bristol in Advanced Computing - Internet Technologies with Security.

Christos joined futures sport + entertainment to apply his knowledge in supporting and developing IT tools as well as because of his passion for sports. He has been a member of various basketball and swimming teams in Greece. He enjoys playing beach volleyball and soccer.

Christos Tsiotras

Vicente Salazar - Analyst

Vicente joined futures sport + entertainment after completing an MSc in Communication at the London School of Economics. He also graduated with a BA in Economics Cum Laude from Boston University. Between degrees Vicente worked briefly in politics in the US, including a stint on one of the 2008 presidential campaigns.

As an American living in London, Vicente enjoys his homeland’s national pastime of baseball but he is quickly becoming a rabid football fan (proper football, not the American one).

Chris Dales - Graduate Analyst

Chris graduated with a BSc in Mathematics and Business Studies from the University of Warwick. He excelled especially at multivariate analysis, for which he was awarded a First. Chris joined futures sport + entertainment to combine his analytical skills with his passion for sport.

Chris especially likes the physical challenge of sport. He recently cycled over 1,600 km in two weeks for charity, across the length of Great Britain.

Langdon Quin - Graduate Analyst

Langdon joined futures sport + entertainment upon completing an MSc with Merit in European Political Economy at the London School of Economics. Before moving to London he graduated from Brown University with a BA in International Relations, Magna Cum Laude, and spent a year in Egypt teaching at a private American school.

While still an avid follower of American sports, European and international soccer have captured Langdon’s imagination over the past decade. Applying his academic background to his greatest passion, he is eager to quantify how globalisation perpetuates the growth of sport, and vice-versa.

Nicky Williams - Personal Assistant

Nicky has been a member of the team for over 5 years and feels like part of the furniture. She is hugely passionate about sport and includes soccer, boxing, F1 and darts amongst the wide variety of sports she follows. Nicky is a massive Liverpool supporter and was lucky enough to be at the UEFA Champions League final in Istanbul in 2005.
